Patriot Awards
Independence Day Observance
The above photograph shows Compatriot Jack Mallory, SVSAR Chairman of Social Events, as the Master of Ceremonies speaking at
the July 4, 2009 Independence Day Observance at Azule City Park, Saratoga, California.  Compatriot Jack created, organized and led
this program over the last five years with the support and help of his wife, Susanne.  The first 2002 Independence Day Observance was
held on his drive way.  The 2009 Independence Day Observance was another big success attracting 500 to 600 people, and truly
celebrating America’s birthday.  In supporting Compatriot Jack, the other SAR members in attendance were Compatriot Robert D.
Ebert, CASSAR President, Compatriot Charles A. Smart, SVSAR Past President, Compatriot John R. Kohli, SVSAR Past President,
Compatriot Terry Briggs, SVSAR Registrar, and Compatriot Chris Palmer, SVSAR Color Guard Commander.
