18, 2015, members of Santa Clara County, California Veteran organizations, and the general public, witnessed the dedication of the

YOUNG AMERICAN PATRIOTS FIFE AND DRUM CORP (YAPs) AND THE CALIFORNIA CONSOLIDATED DRUM BAND (CCDB)
RECEIVE PARADE AWARD AT NEVADA CITY, CALIFORNIA REVOLUTIONARY WAR DAYS PARADE

Jason Giaimo, founder and leader of the The Pleasanton, CA based Young American Patriots Fife and Drum Corp (YAPs) wrote:

"The Pleasanton based Young American Patriots Fife and Drum Corp (YAPs) and the California Consolidated Drum Band (CCDB)
combined fife & drum group won "Best Historic Entry" in the September 13, 2015 Revolutionary War Days parade in Nevada City,
California! That is a top honor given for a group participating in the parade.
The YAPs kids did amazingly well, and I was very proud of them. Our our marching was straight and precise and the kids sounded
great as well!"

"It was a long haul to and from Nevada City for sure, but they learned a lot and certainly enjoyed it. The kids were "drafted" into
George Washington's army upon their arrival, and were given wooden (replica) muskets to march with -- which they loved of course.
My favorite of the historical displays was the 1776 medical tent...with the colonial-era surgeons tools."
